Last Week’s Rockucation Question:
This former drummer, teacher and music store owner eventually created something based on a conversation with Pete Townsend of The Who. Townsend wanted something louder than what he was using. The American products didn’t have anything of that caliber either. The drummer wanted something cheaper than the American ones and none were being made in England, where he lived. He finished the product and Townsend put his guitar through it on his first show with it. Eventually Jimi Hendrix and Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple at the time), became fans and soon many in England took it on. Who was the drummer/teacher/store owner and what did he create?
Answer:
Jim Marshall. Marshall Amps.
Winners:
Dylan Anderson, Lexington, KY, Darryl Sampson, Kingston, MA.
