Last Week’s Rockucation Question:

The surviving members utilized two of his demos and turned them into the band’s songs. The first was released in 1995 as part of a video documentary. Who was the band and the song?
Answer:
The Beatles. Free As A Bird.
Winners:
Mike Read, Larkhill, UK, Stephen Damon-Tilley, Dorchester, MA, and Chuck Dressler, North Kingstown, RI.
This week’s Rockucation question is:
The singer got his shot to replace another singer for a somewhat successful band at the time. The manager didn’t get along with the current singer (He chose to keep his own manager). The band manager came across a tape and love the voice. In order to get him in the band, he was introduced as a cousin of a Portuguese roadie. He was to be an apprentice. One night on tour while the current singer stepped away the manager put his apprentice up to rehearse with the band and well the rest is history. Name the band and it’s singer and the vocalist who replaced him.
