Rockucation Question This Week of March 8th, 2020!

Last Week’s Rockucation Question:

Originally it started as a drinking club at the Rainbow Bar And Grill in Los Angeles, CA, in the 1970’s. Founding members were Alice Cooper, John Lennon (The Beatles), Mickey Dolenz (The Monkees), Keith Moon (The Who) and Ringo Starr (The Beatles). In 2015 one of the founders made a band out of it and has since released two albums and tours. The core of that band includes Joe Perry and Johnny Depp. What is the name of the now group?

Answer:

The Hollywood Vampires

Winners:

Darryl Sampson, Kingston, MA, Jack Stubblefield, Corpus Christi, TX, Phyllis Bourque, Pawtucket, RI, Chuck Dressler, North Kingstown, RI, and Nina McCarthy, Westerly, RI.

This week’s Rockucation question is:

In 1968, this band held a free concert on Haight-Ashbury avenue in San Francisco, CA. They played on flatbed trucks. The fans crowded the streets and basically shut down the area. Until this show, free concerts were considered a desperate act, this band changed that with this show. Their belief was if you give them free music that they will eventually pay for it. Who was the band?

Do you think you know the answer to this music question? Take a guess by clicking the link above! If you answer it correctly, your name will be featured in next week’s Rockucation section.
