Wehn he was young his parents tried to have his homosexual tendencies corected with electric shock therapy three times a week. He once punched David Bowie in the face over a disagreement at dinner. When he broke up with his band, which at one time was managed by Andy Warhol. he worked as a typist for his father’s tax firm before going solo. This week’s Rockucation question is:

This legendary promoter helped create how we see concerts and shows. He basically made concert promoting a sustainable business. Not only did he just do concerts he took them to the stadiums and above that he was into changing stage designs (Lighting/Theatrics) at the shows always offering something different. You might say he was a pioneer. He was also very instrumental in the San Francisco scene back in the sixties, with his own record label as well as his promotions business. He was a German born and fled Germany during the Halocust and ended up in New York, eventually landing in San Francisco. He is a Korean war hero receiving a Bronze Star Of Valor. He felt his nal originame was difficult for others to pronounce so he took a phone book and picked one from it and used that. He died in a helicopter crash in October 1991. Who is he?
