Last Week’s Rockucation Question:
Prince’s Little Red Corvette inspired this song by this artist. The story is that she was driving down the highway and heard it on the radio while driving with her then husband. They pulled over so she can write the song that was in her head. Later she called Prince to get his blessing and gave him partial writing credit as he loved it. When you play the two songs side by side you can hear the similarities. Who is the artist and the song?
Answer:
Stevie Nicks, Stand Back
Winners:
Debbie Epstein, Sarasota, FL, Darryl Sampson, Kingston, MA and Nina McCarthy, Westerly, RI.
This week’s Rockucation question is:
These two singers once fronted the same band, at different times. One left to have a decent solo career. His replacement had a very successful career on his own before joining them. But he took the band up on its offer and the band went even higher levels of success. Eventually he was out of the band. Ironically both singers eventually decided to tour together, each headlining opposite nights. By the end of the tour they didn’t get along and swore to never to tour together again. Who were the two singers and what band were they in?
