Last Week’s Rockucation Question:

Imagine this supergroup; Eric Clapton on lead guitar, Keith Richards on bass, Ginger Baker on drums as well as George Harrison on guitar. Now add this vocalist/keyboardist and now you have reality. They all played on this keyboardist’s single. It took place in 1969. Who was the keyboardist and what is the song?

This week’s Rockucation question is:

This folk rooted singer, songwriter, Instrumentalist was said to have led the way to country rock. Influencing bands like The Eagles, Wilco, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dyan and Pure Prairie League, many others, as well as discovering Emmylou Harris. Some called it California Country, as he was based in Laurel Canyon. He died of a morphine and tequila overdose. Some of his friends robbed his body to Joshua Tree National Park where he wanted to be cremated. They brought him there and started to burn it. The family eventually got the remains and did a proper burial. He was a member of a couple of bands , one where he replaced a member and was a keyboardist, one he founded and later was fired from and his solo career. He is still considered an influence today. Who is he?
