Trawl has released a new single Kaiju King. No word on a new record. Every time this band puts out a new single I get excited. Seriously these guys never disappoint. In case you are wondering, the word Kaiju means strange beast in Japanese. It’s a science fiction term. Back to the music.
The song starts off in a very thunderous beat. Driven by the powerhouse rhythm section that is Seth McClellan on bass and Gary Marston on drums. I have to say I like the way Sean Mathews sings this one. He seems like he’s narrating what’s happening. But what really makes the song stand out is the riff and solo by Justin Patry. near the end of the track they really slow things down but it takes the song to another level. I love what they did there and then of course Patry brings in his guitar back to prominence with the rest of the band to end the track. You even get a guest vocal by a famous reptile. You don’t get a video but a stream of the song. Check it all out below.
