Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers has released a new single from their current release "Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers: Live At The Fillmore 1997". You can get a copy here. The new single is a cover of The Byrds 1966 hit Eight Miles High. The band does some fine jamming in this one considering it's two minutes longer than the original. Based on the groups style, I think this is a great fit for them. I think they deliver it with the sincerity, yet still make it their own. The only thing that's missing here is the band performing it in a video. We just get an audio stream over the cover of the record. Check it out below.
