Tom Petty Releases The Official Video For “Gainesville”!

Tom Petty has released the official video for Gainesville. He previously streamed it. It is from his just released box set “An American Treasure”. I review the single when it came out previously. You can read about it here. This release is really about the video. Its like watching old family movies. You see footage from the seventies and so on. Its great to see things like this from one of your idols. You see a side that you don’t usually see and some rare clips of him and the band. Considering that the song is about his hometown, the video does it justice by showing it from his eyes and his perspective. Nicely done. Enjoy it below.
