Tom Petty Release Home Demo Of “You Don’t Know How It Feels”!

Tom Petty has released a demo of his 1994 hit You Don’t Know How It Feels from his solo album “Wildflowers”. It’s part of the album’s forthcoming reissue project coming out later this year. It’s cool to see brith fo a song and how it changes to the final version, as I have stated in the past I am often pleased that they work with a producer and and the final version is usually better. In this case the two are very similar so that’s good. One thing you will notice is that there is a verse that isn’t n the final version which is;
“I’m so tired of being tired Sure as night will follow day Most things that I worry about never happen anyway”
It would be interesting to see how that verse would have worked in the final cut or why it was taken out. In any case, I’m glad that we get to hear things like this, it make you appreciate what they do. The video is an animated one which shows the lyrics playing over it. Check it out below.
