Tom Petty Puts Out Previously Unreleased Track “Drivin’ Down To Georgia”!

Tom Petty has released another single from his just released collection “Finding Wildflowers (Alternate Versions)”. You can get a copy here. The album “Wildflowers” was originally released in 1994. The new single is a previously unreleased track Drivin’ Down To Georgia. Many fans know the song was played live during many times, but never made it on an album until now. I have to say I’m disappointed that it never made it until the original album. This has a nice tempo and Petty singing in a style that I like. I like the narrative tone. I actually think this is a great straight ahead rock tune.

The real great thing is abut this release is the video. You get some rare and candid footage of Petty as well as live clips. To go with the flow of the song, it actually shows vintage travel video of going to Georgia. This all well put together and very cool. You can check it out below.
