Thundermother has just released a new album called “Heat Wave” along with it is their third single from it called Dog From Hell. This song has it all, sex appeal, attitude and great riffs. The opening bass line by Majsan Lindberg is reminiscent of Poison’s Unskinny Bop, but a heavier vibe. Joining her on the drums Emlee Johnansson, she hits all the right accents as she pounds along. It sets the tone. Just as you get through the intro, Flippa Nassil’s guitar kicks in and from that point on I’m hooked and in deep. Now with all this great sound coming at you and keeping you interested, you might not think it could get better. You would be wrong, Guernica Mancini’s starts singing and it’s over, she owns you. Mancini delivers an attitude and angst the song calls for. When you hear her sing the following lyrics;
“You don’t respect the danger And you think this is a bluff You’re blinded by a stranger And you cannot get enough The beast has come to conquer You will be torn apart I’ll drop you like a bone and take your heart”
You know you’re in for it and that she means it. You can’t get more rock n’ roll than that. I’m telling you this is the real deal rocking tune. The video is shot in black and white which adds some depth to it the song. You get a live performance clip of the band playing the track and you can see what they bring to the table. You can add this to your “Rock Ain’t Dead” List. Check it out below.
