The Rolling Stones will be releasing remastered and expanded edition of their 2003 concert film “Licked Live In NYC”. It will be out June 10th and you can pre-order it here. This concert was on the band’s 40th anniversary tour. Gimme Shelter is one of four songs that didn’t[‘t make the initial release. The other three are Start Me Up, Sympathy For The Devil and Tumbling Dice.
Gimme Shelter first appeared on their 1969 “Let It Bleed” album. Onco e again there is nothing to discuss about such a classic tune. We celebrate in the fact that we can get these performances and material to enjoy today. Check out this great live clip for such a fantastic tune below.
