The Kinks Release Previously Unheard Live Version Of "Everybody's a Star (Starmaker)" From 1975!

The Kinks are continuing to celebrate their 60th anniversary with a release of their deluxe package "The Kinks - The Journey Part 2". Out on November 17th. You can pre-order it here. Everybody's a Star (Starmaker) is the latest single from the record. The single first appeared on their 1975 album "Soap Opera". This live performance is outstanding. You get a nice sound and just over the two minute mark you get John Dalton's little bass solo and then you get into the audience participation and Dave Davies talking to the crowd. This is a fantastic version of the song. I also love that they captured it. I cherish things like this. They have given us an animated lyric video to accompany it. I'm a bit disappointed in the fact that we don't actually see them playing it. You can check it out below.
