The Georgia Thunderbolts Release New Single “Livin’ In Muddy Water”. Well Worth Th

The Georgia Thunderbolts has released a new single Livin’ In Muddy Water. I am hoping it’s for a future album. Right now they released it to kick off their European tour with Black Stone Cherry, that kicks off October 4th. The band is firing on all cylinders on this one. From the opening riffs and pounding bass line, that reminds me of eighties hair metal. The drumming by Bristol Perry really drives this song and makes you pay attention to the mood of the music. The guitar solo is more than melodic, it has it’s own feel that complements the track. T.J. Lyle just blows me away every time he sings. The emotional tone that he brings to the words is second to none. The way he makes it sound like your in a conversation to the vocal prowess you would expect from him. This song has me excited about what’s to come. Once again, the band’s lyrical content is thoughtful and deep, like this verse;

“How can you walk through muddy water, and come out cleaner than before, how do we see through broken windows, is it the pane or something more”

There is a lot packaged there and well thought out. I truly enjoy the word play. I have to say the boys never disappoint me. They seem to deliver above expectations. The only thing missing here is video. We get a stream of the audio and I have to say that satisfies me for now. Check it out below.
