The Dropkick Murphys Release Folk Style New Single “Two 6’s Upside Down”

The Dropkick Murphys will be releasing a new album on September 30th titled “This Machine Still Kills Fascists”. You can pre-order it here. The album is an acoustic one. The lead single is Two 6’s Upside Down. Woody Guthrie and his daughter Nora Guthrie helped write lyrics on the record. Hence the folk influence. The song seems to have a Johnny Cash style of cadence within the song. Musically the band still has the angst that they are known for.
I think you will like this and find yourself singing along to it. Maybe it will be a new drinking song. I can see glasses raised to this one. The video shows the boys playing candidly and with an audience. You can judge for yourself if this is beer worthy. Check it out below.
