The Dead Daisies Releases A Cover Of Humble Pie’s “30 Days In The Hole” And ItR

The Dead Daisies has released the official single and video for their cover of Humble Pie’s 30 Days In The Hole. It’s from their current digital EP “The Lockdown Sessions”. I love that they took the rocking version and stripped down to acoustic. I think it really impacts the song in a hole different way, especially the lyrics. Maybe it’s the way Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Country Communion, etc) )sings it, or delivers it but he really makes it special. Man at 67 he can till sing. Amazing! Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio) does a fabulous job as well. What a contrast to the original and they really made it their own.
The video is interesting, it’s half animated and half real. I’m not sure why they chose an evil setting, more horror like. But I guess it sort of ties in. Watch for Hughes sprouting some wings. You can check it out below.
