The Cult will be releasing a new album on October 7th titled “Under The Midnight Sun”. You can pre-order it here. The lead single is Give Me Mercy. Any time you get to hear Ian Astbury sing, it’s a good thing. It’s reminiscent of the bands earlier sound yet it has a modern twist. Billy Duffy’s guitar sound is like comfort food and is a pleasurable listen. Overall, the song doesn’t blow me away but it’s good to hear something new from the group.
