The Cold Stares have released two new singles, but no announcement about an album. The band has also changed at this point. You may remember them as a duo. Chris Tapp (Vocals, guitar) and Brian Mullins (Drums). They are now a trio and have added bassist Bryce Klueh, hence a much more fuller sound. That being said, the tracks are Nothing But The Blues and The Ghost. The first one is a Blues rocker. Lyrically, it really makes you feel bad for all that this guy goes through. I’m sure when you listen to the words you will get a kick out of it. Tapp’s guitar solo really stands out on this one. The video for this one continues in the vein of their previous single Hard Times. But it works well with the lyrics.
The second single is an acoustic number. It does sound more like a ballad. It’s quite the contrast from the other song they released today. Once again it shows the boys versatility they have in what they do. I think you get a nice combination of what the band has to offer. I’m hoping this leads to a new album. You can check out the two songs below.
