The Cars Release “Drive” Demo!

The Cars are releasing expanded editions of their albums “Shake It Up” and “Heartbeat City”. Both come out on March 30th and will feature previously unreleased heard versions of songs and material. This week they streamed a demo version of Drive. It doesn’t really stray that far from the official release. The big difference really is the drumming, which kind of has a Latin type of feel or vibe to it. I have to say I like the official version better but found it interesting that that was the drum sound they intended for the song. You can listen to it below.
