Steve Perry (Journey), yes that Steve Perry, has finally released a new song called No Erasin’ from his forthcoming album “Traces”, due out October 5th. You can pre-order it here. It has taken nearly 25 years for Perry to give up something new, not just a song but a whole album. One of the greatest voices in rock has come back. Finally! He has a new website that you can check out here. The new single has a double meaning, according to his web site he references leaving music and coming back and a lost love of his friend Kellie. The chorus of the song reflects that;
“No Erasin’ I’ve felt this once before No Erasin’ No runnin’ anymore My soul’s burnin’, Just like it was before No Erasin’ Our love just won’t let go Oh…”
You can see how it covers both his love’s. I’m glad he’s back singing and in action. Many claimed he can’t sing, this track proves them wrong. I’m hoping for a tour. The video shows Perry in all his glory with band performing the song. According to a You Tube poster, the hat in the video is a reference to his previous solo single and video Oh Sherrie. I thought that was a interesting tidbit. You can enjoy the new single below.
