SRR A-Sides!

Chickenfoot released their version of Deep Purple’s Highway Star this week. It’s from their current album that was just released, “Best + Live”. I must say Sammy Hagar still has the chops at age 70. Joe Satriani adds his touch as well. Great version of the song. Check it out below.


Mark Slaughter of Slaughter fame has a solo album coming out May 26th called, “Halfway There”.

Rammstein has released another trailer for their new DVD Concert, named “Paris”. It is due out on May 19th. You can watch the trailer below.


Rock And Roll Fantasy Camp has announced the lineup for their September camp. Rob Halford from Judas Priest returns. You can get all the details here.

Kirk Hammett (Metallica), is exhibiting his Horror and Sc-Fi collection of art, at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA. How appropriate is that place to display it? Great history for horror and witches. It starts August 12 through November 26.You can watch for details here.

Steve Perry will reunite with Journey at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony. The ceremony will take place April 7th, at the Barclay Center, in Brooklyn, NY. Hopefully, this will lead to other things. In any event, it’s one show people will be watching this one.

Papa Roach has released two songs this week, one is a lyric video for the song, Born For Greatness and Periscope (With features, American singer Skylar Grey). Both are from the forthcoming album, “Crooked Teeth”. Due out on May 19. You can check them both out below.



Black Star Riders have parted ways with drummer Jimmy DeGrasso. They will announce a new drummer soon.

There is a lost scene from the movie “Why Him”, that features Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of Kiss. You can watch it below and judge for yourself if it was worthy of being in or out of the film. I can see why it was deleted.


Testament has partnered with Rocket88 for a new illustrated history book of the band. The book will come out next year. But if you register for it now you can get your name in the book.
