Wolfmother

Finally, Wolfmother gives us new music. The good news is the album, Victorious, comes out February 24. The better news is that they are going to support it with a tour!


Anthrax

Anthrax released a new track from their forthcoming album, For All Kings. The album comes out on February 26. The song is Breathing Lightning and you can watch here


Megadeth

Megadeth put out the title track of their new album, Dystopia, coming out on January 22. Check it out here


David Bowie

David Bowie released Lazarus from his new album, Blackstar. It came out last Friday. Check it out here


Drowning Pool

Drowning Pool put out a new song this week called, Hell To Pay. It’s from their album, Hellelujah, out on February 5. Listen to it here

Avatarium have a new song out called Pearls And Coffins. It’s from their recent album, The Girl With The Raven Mask. Check it out here

Steel Panther

Resurrection Kings

Supergroup, Resurrection Kings, featuring Vinny Appice, released Path Of Love. It’s from their self titled debut album. Listen to it here

Watch Lemmy’s Funeral There is a movement to have the drink of Jack Daniels and Coke to be called The Lemmy, after the man that fronted Motorhead. You can join it here


The Cult

The Cult released their latest, Hinterland. It’s from their forthcoming album, Hidden City. The CD comes out on February 5. Check it out here


Mötley Crüe

Motley Crue released a teaser video for their up and coming DVD release, The Final Tour. Watch it here


Graham Bonnet Band

Graham Bonnet Band released a video this week. It’s called The Mirror Lies. They plan on releasing an album later this year. They will also be filming the tour for the album as part of a documentary diary. Check out the song here


Metal Church

Metal Church released a video with newly reunited singer Mike Howe. The song is No Tomorrow. The album is called XI. It comes out March 25. You can check out the new video here


Holy Grail

Holy Grail released a new video called No More Heros. It’s from their up and coming album, Times Of Pride And Peril, out on February 12. But you can enjoy the single here


Stealing Eden

Van Halen

Van Halen Rising book author, Greg Renoff, released two rare early Van Halen tracks. You can hear them both here. The first one is, Now I’m hereThe second one is called Rock Opera. Check it out here

Madame Mayhem

Madame Mayhem has released a new video for her song, Left For Dead. It’s from her current album, Now You Know. The album features many musicians you are familiar with: Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big, Winery Dogs), Bumblefoot (Guns And Roses), Ray Luzier (Korn), Satchel (Steel Panther), and Corey Lowery (Saint Asonia). SRR Quick Hits

There is a documentary coming out celebrating the electric guitar. It’s called appropriately, Turn It Up! It features Kevin Bacon as the host and features the likes of Slash, Steve Lukather, John 5, Paul Stanley and many others. You can watch the trailer here

There is a Ronnie Montrose Memorial Concert on January 23rd. It’s at the Observatory in Santa Ana, CA. The lineup is huge. Brad Gillis (Night Ranger), Gilby Clarke (Guns And Roses), Tracii Guns (L.A. Guns), Carmine Appice (too many to list), Derek St. Holmes (Ted Nugent), David Ellefson (Megadeth), Brad Whitford (Aerosmith), Steve Stevens (Billy Idol), even Keith St. John of Montrose. There are many others that will be added. Hopefully, Sammy Hagar shows up as well. I’m sure there will be a DVD of the event. Get tickets here

Sebastian Bach wants to reconcile with Skid Row and get back together with them. Not sure if this more about ego or not, but I’m sure people will go crazy for it if it did.

Sixthman has announced the KISS Kruise dates, which are November 4-9, 2016. KISS have stated that they will pay tribute to the 1982 Creatures Tour. I wonder if that means that Tommy and Eric put on Vincent’s and Carr’s makeup? When you go to the link you can see all the other cruises (which I have posted here as they have been announced). Jason Mackenroth of the Rollins Band and most recently the Blue Man Group, died this week at the age of 46 from prostate cancer. RIP, Jason.

There is a Dimebag Darrell tribute show coming January 22 at The Lucky Strike in Hollywood, CA. It features a slew of artists, members of Pantera, Slayer, Alice In Chains, Black Label Society, Hatebreed, Armored Saint and so many others. The tribute is called Monster Energy Ride For Dime Dimebash 2016. Get your tickets here
