Molly Hatchet has released a new single Firing Line. According to the band, the lyrics are about standing up for what yourself, especially if you are being accused for something you didn't do. The first verse set's up the premise;
"I've Got Blood Hounds Runnin' Down My Trial
On A Warm Hot Summer July Night
It Wasn't Me Who Killed My Old Ladies Man
It Was She Who Done It ... I'll Prove The Man I Am"
Musically the song rocks. It has all the elements you would expect from the group. Keep in mind that there is no one in this lineup if from the bands beginnings. Nor were there on their classic 1979 hit Flirting' With Disaster. I think the guitar work is the highlight of the track. The video is a bit confusing, the lyrics talk about pulling the trigger and breaking out of the pricing gates yet they show knights in battle. No sure what they were trying to convey there. I do like the band being mixed in ii though. Check it out below.
