Joan Jett Releases A Cover Of T. Rex’s “Jeepster”!

  Joan Jett has released a new single from a tribute album for T. Rex and Marc Bolan titled “AngelHeaded Hipster: The Songs of Marc Bolan and T.Rex”. Due out on September 4th, you can pre-order it here. Jeepster is what Jett decided to do and I was surprised by it. She slowed the song down, and really took her time to sing it in away I haven’t heard from her. It’s brilliant. I think the band and Bolan would be proud fo this version. Give it a listen. The video is shot in black and white and shows Jett in the studio recording it and I love the way she incorporates the Bolan in it as well. Not sure why they focused on her smoking, but they did.
