Green Day will be releasing a limited version of the "Dookie 30 Super Deluxe Edition" on September 29th. You can pre-order it here. The forthcoming box set features a 6-LP vinyl, 4-CD box set, and up everywhere digitally, including the original album, seventeen unreleased demos, six studio outtakes (3 unreleased), Woodstock 1994 and Live in Barcelona 1994 (unreleased). To preview the record we get a a 4 track demo of Basket Case. The first thing you will notice is that it's much slower and it has different lyrics. I don't mind this version but I prefer the original. Butane again, this shows you how a song transforms in the studio, with a producer etc. I love when we get to hear a birth of a song to the final product. This was a pleasant surprise and a fun listen. The video shows the band at that time with candied shots etc. I think they did a great job putting this one together. Check it out below.
