Grateful Dead will be releasing the 50th anniversary of their 1973 album "Wake Of The Flood". Due out on September 29th. You can pre-order it here. It will feature unreleased demos and a live show. Eyes Of The World is one of the unreleased demo's from the record. The two things I noticed right away is tat it's a much slower version and less jam like than the one that made the album. I prefer the studio version over this. But it's nice to hear Jerry Garcia's original intent and what it became. I know the band had played several of these songs way before they recorded them to their audience. This was also the first time they launched their own label Grateful Dead Records. I enjoy when I get to hear demos and unreleased material because it gives you an idea what the band or in this case, Garcia was thinking when they wrote it. You can check it out below.
