Five Finger Death Punch will be releasing a new album on August 19th titled “AfterLife”. You can pre-order it here. The latest and the third single from the record is Welcome To The Circus. Like any song that has the word circus in it you get the carnival sounds. In this case it opens the track until the thunderous rhythm kicks in. Ivan Moody commands your attention as he always does and you can feel his anger about society in his lyrics. I think this is my vfavorite verse in the track:
“You’ve gotta kill somebody to thrill somebody Everybody’s gotta reason to bleed You’ve gotta fuck somebody to know somebody That motherfucker ain’t me”
What I like about that set of words is he points out what is going on and he isn’t going to be a part of it. The song is more on in your face type and direct about what is going on. There is no soft approach here, it’s a tough love reality. The music reflects it and is well done on how it ties in to the bands verses. I don’t this you will be disappointed with this one.
The video has a lot of things going on in it. It is an animated lyric video with the circus aster characters.I ask that you was the video and pay attention to the lyrics and you will see how genuinely the band tied them together. Check it out below.
