Elton John will be releasing a special 50th anniversary edition of his 1972 album "Honky Chateau". Due out March 24th, you can pre-order it here. Ahead of its release we get the single Honky Cat from that album performed live at the Royal Festival Hall (London, UK) from 1972. Once again, I can't stress how great and lucky we are to get this type material from artists such as John on their way to being rock stars. This is a great rendition of the song and you really get the sense of his emotional tone while he plays the piano. This is glorious. I don't have anything negative to say about this performance. I will say I wish we had a video of him and the band playing it. I'll take this audio though. check it out below.
