David Bowie Releases “Starman” From 1972’s Top Of The Pops For 50th Anniversary!

David Bowie is celebrating the 50th anniversary of “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars”. You can get a copy of it here. As part of the package you get his live appearance of Starman from his July 6th, 1972 on the British TV show Top Of The Pops. This performance is what many say put Bowie on the map worldwide.

This is my favorite era of Bowie and I wish I had the opportunity to have seen him at that time. He was on the forefront of Glam rock. This TV spot shows the band having good time and a really good rendition of the song. Plus you get to see Mick Ronson in action. Just having the opportunity to see footage like this is what we should be grateful for. Check it out below.
