There are some debut records that I think were never out done by the band. Here are five examples;
Boston - Boston
Lynyrd Skynyrd - (Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd)
Van Halen - Van Halen
The Cars - The Cars
Guns & Roses - Appetite For Destruction
Here are five examples that I think are better than their debut:
Aerosmith - Toys In The Attic
AC/DC - Back In Black
The Eagles - Hotel California
Iron Maiden - Piece Of Mind
Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon
I refuse to believe that a debut record is the best that a band can do. The debut may have the most attitude, energy and rawness to it, because they are just starting out and have something to prove. That being said, as bands mature, I thier usic can grow with them. I'm sure you can list examples of both lists. I think one album doesn't define a band, especially their debut. What areyour thoughts?
